Spaghetti and Meatballs

A classic Italian dish featuring tender meatballs simmered in rich tomato sauce, served over perfectly cooked spaghetti for a comforting and flavorful meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb spaghetti
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, garlic, parsley, egg, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined.
  3. Form the mixture into 1.5-inch meatballs.
  4. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Brown meatballs on all sides, about 5-7 minutes.
  5. Add marinara sauce to the skillet, covering the meatballs. Simmer on low heat for 15-20 minutes until meatballs are cooked through.
  6. Serve meatballs and sauce over the cooked spaghetti. Garnish with extra Parmesan and parsley if desired.

Notes

For extra flavor, try adding a pinch of red pepper flakes to the sauce or use a mixture of beef and pork for the meatballs.
