  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup water (adjust as needed)
  • Optional: herbs or spices (e.g., garlic powder, rosemary)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine sourdough discard, flour, salt, and olive oil.
  2. Gradually add water and mix until a workable dough forms. Adjust water or flour to reach desired consistency.
  3. Divide the dough into small balls and roll each into a thin circle on a floured surface.
  4. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat.
  5. Cook each flatbread for 2-3 minutes on each side, until golden spots appear and flatbread is cooked through.
  6. Serve warm with your favorite dips or toppings.

Notes

For extra flavor, add fresh herbs or sprinkle with sea salt before cooking. These flatbreads also taste great brushed with garlic butter.
