Shrimp Alfredo

Shrimp Alfredo

Shrimp Alfredo is a creamy Italian pasta dish featuring tender shrimp cooked in a rich and velvety Parmesan sauce, perfect for a comforting dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 oz fettuccine pasta
  • 1 lb medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 ½ cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook the fettuccine pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the shrimp, season with salt and pepper, and cook until pink and opaque, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove shrimp and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  4. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Cook for 3-5 minutes until slightly thickened.
  5. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and the sauce is smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Add the cooked shrimp and pasta to the sauce. Toss well to coat everything evenly.
  7. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley if desired and serve immediately.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a pinch of red pepper flakes when sautéing the garlic, or serve with a side of garlic bread.
