Parmesan Chicken Casserole

A deliciously creamy and cheesy Parmesan Chicken Casserole that combines tender chicken with a flavorful Parmesan sauce, perfect for a comforting family dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 cups cooked pasta (penne or rotini)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13 inch casserole dish.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Season chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Cook chicken until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes per side. Remove and let rest, then slice into strips.
  3. In a large bowl, mix heavy cream, mayonnaise, garlic, and half of the Parmesan cheese until smooth.
  4. Add cooked pasta, sliced chicken, and half of the mozzarella cheese to the mixture. Stir to combine.
  5. Transfer mixture to the prepared casserole dish. Sprinkle the remaining Parmesan and mozzarella cheeses evenly over the top.
  6. Bake uncovered for 25-30 minutes or until bubbly and golden on top.
  7. Remove from oven and let rest for 5 minutes. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

For extra crispiness, broil the casserole for 2-3 minutes at the end of baking. Serve with a fresh green salad or garlic bread for a complete meal.
