Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (8-10 lb) fully cooked bone-in ham
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • Whole cloves for studding the ham (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F (163°C).
  2. Score the surface of the ham in a diamond pattern about 1/8 inch deep. Stud with whole cloves if using.
  3. Place ham in a roasting pan, flat side down.
  4. In a small saucepan, combine honey, brown sugar, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, cinnamon, and ground cloves. Heat over medium heat until sugar dissolves and mixture is smooth.
  5. Baste the ham generously with the honey glaze.
  6. Cover loosely with foil and bake for 1 1/2 to 2 hours, basting every 20 minutes.
  7. Remove foil during the last 30 minutes to allow glaze to caramelize, basting occasionally.
  8. Once heated through and caramelized, remove from oven and let rest 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, add pineapple rings and maraschino cherries on the ham during the last 30 minutes of baking.
