Homemade Elderflower Lemonade

Refreshing homemade elderflower lemonade combining floral notes with zesty lemon for a naturally sweet and invigorating drink.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh elderflower blossoms (or 4 elderflower cordial sachets)
  • 4 cups water
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 4-5 lemons)
  • Ice cubes
  • Lemon slices and mint leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a boil.
  2. Add the elderflower blossoms or steep the cordial sachets as per instructions and remove from heat.
  3. Stir in the sugar until fully dissolved and let the mixture cool to room temperature.
  4. Strain out the elderflowers if using fresh blossoms.
  5. Add the freshly squeezed lemon juice to the elderflower syrup and mix well.
  6. Refrigerate the lemonade until cold.
  7. Serve over ice cubes and garnish with lemon slices and mint leaves if desired.

Notes

For a sparkling twist, add chilled sparkling water before serving to create elderflower lemonade soda.
