Easter Swirl Pie

  • 1 9-inch pie crust, pre-baked
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • Food coloring (pink, green, and yellow preferred)
  • 1/2 cup crushed Easter candies or sprinkles (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese and sugar together until smooth.
  3. Add vanilla extract and eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  4. Mix in the flour until well combined.
  5. Whip the heavy cream to soft peaks and gently fold into the cream cheese mixture.
  6. Divide the mixture evenly into three separate bowls.
  7. Add a few drops of different food coloring to each bowl and gently swirl the colors.
  8. Pour the colored mixtures into the pre-baked pie crust, layering and swirling them gently to create a marbled effect.
  9. Sprinkle crushed Easter candies or sprinkles on top if desired.
  10. Bake for 35-40 minutes or until the center is set and a toothpick comes out clean.
  11. Let cool completely, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, try adding a teaspoon of lemon zest or swapping food coloring with natural fruit purees like strawberry or kiwi.
