  • 1 container (8 oz) whipped topping, thawed

Instructions

  1. Prepare the vanilla cake mix according to package instructions and bake in a 9×13 inch pan as directed.
  2. Once the cake is baked, allow it to cool for 10 minutes.
  3. Use the handle of a wooden spoon or a straw to poke holes all over the surface of the warm cake.
  4. In a bowl, dissolve the flavored gelatin powder in 1 cup boiling water, stirring until completely dissolved.
  5. Add 1 cup cold water to the gelatin mixture and stir.
  6. Slowly pour the gelatin mixture evenly over the poked holes in the warm cake.
