  • 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup (40g) unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup (65g) all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 cup (90g) mini chocolate chips
  • Assorted Easter-themed candy or sprinkles for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8×8-inch baking pan.
  2. Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over low heat.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  6. Fold in the mini chocolate chips.
  7. Pour the batter evenly into the prepared pan and spread smoothly.
  8. Sprinkle Easter-themed candies or sprinkles on top.
  9. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  10. Allow brownies to cool completely before cutting into squares and serving.

Notes

For an extra festive touch, drizzle melted white chocolate over the cooled brownies or add chopped nuts to the batter for added crunch.
