Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 oz salmon fillet, skin removed and cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp paprika
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 3/4 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp sweet chili sauce
  • 1 tbsp sriracha sauce
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil for frying
  • Chopped green onions and sesame seeds for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a shallow bowl, mix flour, salt, pepper, and paprika. In another bowl, beat the eggs. Place panko breadcrumbs in a third bowl.
  2. Dredge each salmon piece first in the flour mixture, then dip into the beaten eggs, and finally coat evenly with panko breadcrumbs.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Fry the salmon bites in batches for 2-3 minutes per side until golden and crispy. Drain on paper towels.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, and honey to make the Bang Bang sauce.
  5. Toss the crispy salmon bites in the Bang Bang sauce until well coated.
  6. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

For an extra kick, add a squeeze of fresh lime juice over the bites before serving or serve with a side of steamed jasmine rice.
