Creme Egg Brownies

Indulge in rich, fudgy brownies filled with creamy, gooey Cadbury Creme Eggs for a decadent Easter-inspired treat that’s perfect for chocolate lovers.

  • 200g dark chocolate, chopped
  • 175g unsalted butter
  • 325g caster sugar
  • 130g plain flour
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 5 Cadbury Creme Eggs, halved
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 170°C (340°F). Line a 20cm square baking tin with parchment paper.
  2. In a heatproof bowl, melt the dark chocolate and butter together until smooth. Set aside to cool slightly.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together the caster sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until light and creamy.
  4. Fold the melted chocolate mixture into the egg mixture.
  5. Sift the plain flour and salt into the bowl and gently fold until just combined.
  6. Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared tin and smooth the surface.
  7. Press the halved Cadbury Creme Eggs evenly over the batter.
  8. Pour the remaining batter over the Creme Eggs, covering them completely.
  9. Bake for 30–35 minutes or until a skewer inserted into the edge comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  10. Allow the brownies to cool completely in the tin before slicing and serving.

Notes

For an extra indulgent touch, serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or drizzle with melted chocolate.
