Instructions

  1. In a large pot, melt butter over medium heat and sauté onions until translucent.
  2. Add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Pour in chicken broth and bring to a gentle boil.

  5. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt for the dumplings.
  6. Stir in milk until a soft dough forms.
  7. Drop spoonfuls of dumpling dough into the boiling broth.
  8. Cover and simmer for 10 minutes or until dumplings are cooked through.
  9. Add shredded chicken and heavy cream, stirring gently to combine.
  10. Heat through for 5 minutes without boiling to avoid separating the cream.
