Classic Glazed Easter Ham with Pineapple

This Classic Glazed Easter Ham with Pineapple combines a tender, juicy ham with a sweet and tangy pineapple glaze, perfect for festive holiday gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 fully cooked bone-in ham (8-10 lbs)
  • 1 can (20 oz) pineapple slices in juice
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • Whole cloves (optional, for studding)
  • Fresh pineapple rings for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F (163°C).
  2. Score the surface of the ham in a diamond pattern and optionally stud with whole cloves.
  3. Place the ham in a roasting pan and tent with foil.
  4. Bake the ham for about 15-18 minutes per pound, or until heated through.
  5. While the ham bakes, prepare the glaze by combining pineapple juice, brown sugar, honey, Dijon mustard, and apple cider vinegar in a saucepan. Simmer until slightly thickened, about 10 minutes.
  6. During the last 30 minutes of baking, brush the glaze over the ham every 10 minutes.
  7. Arrange pineapple slices and fresh pineapple rings on the ham when glazing the final time.
  8. Remove the ham from the oven and let rest for 15 minutes before slicing.

Notes

For an extra flavorful twist, add a splash of bourbon to the glaze or serve with a side of roasted vegetables.
