Classic Butter Parsley Garlic Bread

A warm, fragrant garlic bread made with creamy butter and fresh parsley, perfect as a flavorful side or appetizer.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 loaf French bread or Italian bread
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Optional: 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Slice the bread loaf in half lengthwise.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together softened butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, and salt until well combined.
  4. Spread the garlic butter mixture evenly over the cut sides of the bread.
  5. Optional: Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over the buttered bread for extra flavor.
  6. Place the bread halves on a baking sheet, cut sides up.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 12–15 minutes, or until the edges are golden and the butter is melted.
  8. For a crispier top, broil for an additional 1–2 minutes, watching carefully to prevent burning.
  9. Remove from oven, slice, and serve warm.

Notes

For a cheesy variation, add shredded mozzarella before baking, or serve alongside pasta dishes for an extra comforting meal.
