  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 4 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 3 cups quick-cooking oats
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
  2. Add sugar, milk, and cocoa powder; stir until combined.
  3. Bring the mixture to a rolling boil and let it boil for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in peanut butter, vanilla extract, and salt until smooth.
  5. Mix in the quick-cooking oats until well coated.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of the mixture onto wax paper and let cool until set, about 30 minutes.

Notes

For a chewier texture, use old-fashioned oats instead of quick-cooking oats. Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to one week.
