Chicken Tacos

Delicious and easy-to-make chicken tacos seasoned with simple spices, perfect for a quick dinner or casual gathering.

  • 500g boneless chicken breast, diced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp chili powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 8 small corn tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 medium tomato, diced
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 lime, cut into wedges
  • Optional: sour cream or salsa for serving

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine diced chicken with olive oil, cumin, smoked paprika, garlic powder, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Toss to coat evenly.
  2. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned chicken and cook for 6-8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until cooked through and lightly browned.
  3. Warm the corn tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave until pliable.
  4. Assemble the tacos by dividing the cooked chicken among the tortillas.
  5. Top each taco with shredded lettuce, diced tomato, cilantro, and shredded cheddar cheese.
  6. Squeeze fresh lime juice over the tacos and add sour cream or salsa if desired.
  7. Serve immediately and enjoy your flavorful chicken tacos.

Notes

For extra flavor, marinate the chicken for 30 minutes before cooking and serve with avocado slices or pickled jalapeños.
