Chicken Parm Sliders

These Chicken Parm Sliders feature tender breaded chicken topped with melted mozzarella and tangy marinara sauce, all nestled inside soft slider buns for a perfect bite-sized Italian comfort meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 slider buns
  • 3 cups marinara sauce
  • 3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, pounded to 1/2 inch thickness
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 1/2 cups Italian-style breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cups vegetable oil (for frying)
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Prepare three shallow bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with breadcrumbs mixed with Parmesan, garlic powder, oregano, salt, and pepper.
  3. Dredge each chicken breast piece in flour, dip in eggs, then coat thoroughly with breadcrumb mixture.
  4. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat and fry chicken breasts until golden brown and cooked through, about 4 minutes per side. Drain on paper towels.
  5. Slice fried chicken breasts to fit slider buns.
  6. Place bottom halves of slider buns in a baking dish and spread a layer of marinara sauce.
  7. Add a slice of chicken, a spoonful of marinara, and a generous sprinkle of mozzarella cheese on each slider.
  8. Cover with top halves of buns, then drizzle remaining marinara and sprinkle with mozzarella over the tops.
  9. Bake in the oven for 15 minutes, until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  10. Garnish with fresh basil leaves if desired, then serve warm.

Notes

For an extra kick, add sliced pepperoncini peppers or a dash of red pepper flakes before baking. These sliders pair wonderfully with a crisp green salad or sweet potato fries.
