These 20-Minute Teriyaki Salmon Bowls feature tender, flavorful salmon glazed in a homemade teriyaki sauce, served over rice with fresh vegetables for a quick and satisfying meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 salmon fillets (6 oz each)
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
  • 1 cup cooked jasmine rice
  • 1 cup steamed broccoli florets
  • 1 medium carrot, julienned
  • 1 green onion, sliced
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger to make the teriyaki sauce.
  2. Season salmon fillets lightly with salt and pepper.
  3. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat and add a small amount of oil.
  4. Place salmon fillets skin-side down and cook for 4-5 minutes until crispy.
  5. Flip salmon and pour teriyaki sauce over the fillets; cook for another 3-4 minutes, spooning sauce on top, until salmon is cooked through and glazed.
  6. While salmon cooks, prepare rice and steam broccoli if not already done.
  7. Divide cooked rice between bowls, top with steamed broccoli, carrots, and teriyaki-glazed salmon.
  8. Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds before serving.

Notes

For extra crunch, add sliced cucumber or toasted nuts; serve with a side of pickled ginger for authentic flavor.
