Tuna Noodle Casserole

This classic Tuna Noodle Casserole combines tender noodles, creamy sauce, and savory tuna for a comforting and easy-to-make family meal.

  • 8 oz egg noodles
  • 2 cans (5 oz each) tuna in water, drained
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1 cup crushed potato chips or breadcrumbs
  • 2 tbsp butter, melted
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook egg noodles according to package directions until al dente; drain and set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, combine cream of mushroom soup, milk, chopped onion, and shredded cheddar cheese.
  4. Add drained tuna, frozen peas, and cooked noodles to the mixture; stir gently to combine.
  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Pour the mixture into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
  7. Mix crushed potato chips or breadcrumbs with melted butter, then sprinkle evenly over the casserole.
  8. Bake uncovered for 25-30 minutes or until the topping is golden brown and the casserole is bubbly.
  9. Remove from oven and let stand for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

For extra creaminess, stir in 1/2 cup sour cream before baking, or substitute peas with mixed vegetables for variety.
