Tomato Garlic Pasta

A simple and flavorful Tomato Garlic Pasta, combining fresh tomatoes and aromatic garlic for a quick and satisfying Italian-inspired meal.

Ingredients

  • 300g spaghetti
  • 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
  • 4 medium ripe tomatoes, diced
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 tsp red chili flakes (optional)
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish
  • Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add sliced garlic and sauté until fragrant and golden, about 1-2 minutes.
  3. Add diced tomatoes to the skillet. Cook, stirring occasionally, until tomatoes break down and form a sauce, about 8-10 minutes.
  4. Season the sauce with salt, black pepper, and red chili flakes if using.
  5. Add the cooked spaghetti to the skillet and toss well to coat with the tomato garlic sauce.
  6. Remove from heat and garnish with fresh basil leaves.
  7. Serve hot, topped with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.

Notes

For an extra burst of flavor, add a splash of balsamic vinegar or top with toasted pine nuts before serving.
