Delicious Strawberry Pecan Pretzel Salad

This Strawberry Pecan Pretzel Salad is an amazing dessert that is perfect for potlucks and parties. This cool and creamy salad is always a crowd pleaser.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups crushed pretzels
  • 3/4 cup melted butter
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 12 ounces whipped topping, thawed
  • 1 (6 ounce) box strawberry gelatin
  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 20 ounces frozen sliced strawberries
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. In a medium bowl, mix together crushed pretzels, melted butter, and 3 tablespoons sugar. Press into the bottom of a 9×13 inch pan. Bake in preheated oven for 10 minutes. Let cool.
  3. In a large bowl, beat cream cheese, 1 cup sugar, and vanilla until smooth. Fold in whipped topping. Spread over cooled pretzel crust.
  4. In a large bowl, dissolve strawberry gelatin in boiling water. Stir in frozen strawberries. Let stand until slightly thickened. Pour over cream cheese layer.
  5. Sprinkle with chopped pecans. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving.

Notes

For best results, use frozen strawberries as they help the gelatin set properly.
