Homemade Pumpkin Muffins with Chocolate Chips

These moist and delicious pumpkin muffins are studded with chocolate chips for a perfect fall treat. Enjoy them warm for breakfast or as a delightful snack!

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup pumpkin puree
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a 12-cup muffin tin with paper liners.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together sugar, oil, pumpkin puree, eggs, and vanilla extract.
  4. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  6. Fill each muffin liner about 2/3 full.
  7. Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a wooden skewer inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Let cool in the muffin tin for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For a richer flavor, use brown sugar instead of granulated sugar. You can also add chopped nuts for extra texture.
