A refreshing and creamy Orange Dreamsicle Salad combining citrus flavors with a smooth, dreamy texture, perfect as a light dessert or snack.

  • 2 cups mandarin orange segments (fresh or canned, drained)
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows
  • 1 cup crushed vanilla wafer cookies
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup whipped topping (such as Cool Whip)
  • 1/4 cup shredded coconut (optional)
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon orange zest

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the mandarin orange segments, mini marshmallows, and crushed vanilla wafer cookies.
  2. In a separate bowl, gently fold together the sour cream and whipped topping until smooth and creamy.
  3. Add the orange zest to the cream mixture and stir to combine.
  4. Fold the creamy mixture into the orange and cookie mixture until everything is well incorporated.
  5. If desired, gently fold in shredded coconut and chopped pecans for extra texture and flavor.
  6. Cover and refrigerate the salad for at least 1 hour to allow flavors to meld and the salad to thicken.
  7. Serve chilled, garnished with a few orange segments or additional vanilla wafer crumbs if desired.

Notes

For an extra refreshing touch, chill the mandarin oranges before mixing and serve the salad with a sprig of fresh mint.
