Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz pasta (penne or rigatoni)
  • 1 lb flank steak, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sriracha or other hot sauce
  • 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season steak slices with salt and pepper.
  3. Add steak to the skillet and cook 2-3 minutes per side until browned and cooked to desired doneness. Remove steak and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and add minced garlic; sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  5. Add honey, soy sauce, sriracha, crushed red pepper flakes, and beef broth; stir to combine and bring to a simmer.
  6. Cook sauce for 3-4 minutes until slightly thickened.
  7. Return steak to the skillet along with cooked pasta; toss gently to coat everything evenly in the sauce.
  8. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese over the pasta and stir until melted and well mixed.
  9. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired and serve immediately.

Notes

For an extra creamy texture, stir in a splash of heavy cream or half-and-half at the end of cooking.
