This Million Dollar Ravioli Casserole is an easy dinner recipe that tastes like a million bucks! Layers of cheesy ravioli, meat sauce, and a creamy white sauce make this casserole irresistible.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (25 ounce) jar marinara sauce
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 (19 ounce) package frozen cheese ravioli
  • 1 (15 ounce) container ricotta cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 6 tablespoons butter
  • 6 tablespoons flour
  • 3 cups milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. In a large skillet, brown ground beef over medium heat. Drain off any excess grease. Stir in marinara sauce and simmer for 5 minutes.
  3. In a medium bowl, combine ricotta cheese, Parmesan cheese, egg, salt, and pepper.
  4. In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Whisk in flour until smooth. Gradually whisk in milk until smooth. Bring to a simmer, stirring constantly. Reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Stir in nutmeg.
  5. Spread a thin layer of meat sauce in the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish. Top with half of the ravioli. Spread ricotta cheese mixture over ravioli. Top with remaining ravioli. Pour meat sauce over ravioli. Pour white sauce over meat sauce. Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until golden brown and bubbly. Let stand for 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

For a spicier casserole, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the meat sauce. You can also use Italian sausage instead of ground beef. Feel free to use your favorite jarred marinara sauce.
