Korean BBQ Beef

Korean BBQ Beef is a flavorful and tender grilled dish marinated in a savory-sweet sauce, perfect for a delicious and easy dinner.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb thinly sliced beef ribeye or sirloin
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1 tbsp rice wine vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp toasted sesame seeds
  • Optional: sliced onions and mushrooms for grilling

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, green onions, rice wine vinegar, and black pepper to make the marinade.
  2. Place the sliced beef in the marinade and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, preferably 2 hours.
  3. Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
  4. Grill the beef slices for 2-3 minutes per side until nicely charred and cooked through.
  5. Optionally, grill sliced onions and mushrooms alongside the beef.
  6. Remove from heat and sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, serve with steamed rice and kimchi; you can also add a fried egg on top for a hearty meal.
