Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch pie dish.
  2. In a large bowl, combine melted butter, sugar, cocoa powder, salt, baking powder, and vanilla extract. Mix well.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Gradually add flour and mix until just combined. Do not overmix.
  5. Stir in chocolate chips, if using.
  6. Pour batter into the prepared pie dish.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out with fudgy crumbs.
