Easy Fresh Peach Cake Recipe

Delicious Fresh Peach Cake

This cake is bursting with fresh peach flavor and is perfect for summer!

Ingredients

  • 4 ripe peaches, peeled and sliced
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 3/4 cups granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup buttermilk

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the buttermilk, beginning and ending with the dry ingredients.
  5. Fold in the sliced peaches.
  6. Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a wooden skewer inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes before inverting onto a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Serve with a dollop of whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream for an extra special treat.
