Copycat Disneyland Peanut Butter Bars: A Taste of Magic

These copycat Disneyland peanut butter bars are rich, decadent, and taste just like the real thing! This recipe makes 7 large bars.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups creamy peanut butter
  • 3 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 12 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 tbsp vegetable shortening

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and peanut butter until smooth.
  2. Gradually beat in the powdered sugar, then mix in the graham cracker crumbs.
  3. Press the mixture into an ungreased 9×13 inch pan.
  4. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the chocolate chips and vegetable shortening together in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  5. Pour the melted chocolate over the peanut butter layer and spread evenly.
  6. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before cutting into bars.

Notes

For easier cutting, let the bars sit at room temperature for about 15 minutes before slicing.
