Delicious Cheesy Pizzagna Bake Ready to Serve

This Cheesy Pizzagna Bake combines the best of pizza and lasagna into one satisfying dish. Layers of cheesy goodness, pepperoni, and a rich tomato sauce make this a family favorite.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 (24 ounce) jar marinara sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 (15 ounce) container ricotta cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 9 lasagna noodles, cooked
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup sliced pepperoni

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet, brown ground beef over medium-high heat. Drain off any excess grease.
  3. Stir in marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and red pepper flakes (if using). Simmer for 5 minutes.
  4. In a medium bowl, combine ricotta cheese, Parmesan cheese, egg, salt, and pepper.
  5. Spread a thin layer of meat sauce in the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  6. Layer 3 lasagna noodles over the sauce, followed by half of the ricotta cheese mixture, 1/3 of the mozzarella cheese, and some pepperoni.
  7. Repeat layers: 3 noodles, remaining ricotta cheese, 1/3 of the mozzarella cheese, and more pepperoni.
  8. Top with the final 3 noodles, remaining meat sauce, and the last 1/3 of the mozzarella cheese. Sprinkle with remaining pepperoni.
  9. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  10. Let stand for 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

For an extra layer of flavor, add a sprinkle of fresh basil or oregano before serving.
