Cauliflower Fritters on a Plate

These crispy and flavorful cauliflower fritters are a delicious and healthy snack or side dish. They’re easy to make and perfect for using up leftover cauliflower.

Ingredients

  • 1 medium head cauliflower, cut into florets
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Vegetable oil, for frying

Instructions

  1. Steam or boil the cauliflower florets until tender. Drain well and mash with a fork.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the mashed cauliflower, flour, Parmesan cheese, egg, milk, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  3. Heat about 1/2 inch of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  4. Drop spoonfuls of the cauliflower mixture into the hot oil, being careful not to overcrowd the skillet.
  5. Fry for 2-3 minutes per side, or until golden brown and crispy.
  6. Remove the fritters from the skillet and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
  7. Serve immediately.

Notes

Serve these fritters with a dollop of sour cream or a sprinkle of fresh herbs for an extra touch of flavor.
