Delicious Homemade Blueberry Latte

Elevate your coffee ritual with this delightful Blueberry Latte. Combining the rich flavors of espresso with the sweetness of blueberries, it’s a unique and comforting beverage perfect for any time of day.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)
  • 1/4 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
  • 1 tablespoon simple syrup (or to taste)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Double shot of espresso (or 1/2 cup strong coffee)
  • Whipped cream (optional)
  • Fresh blueberries, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, combine the milk, blueberries, and simple syrup.
  2. Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the milk is warm and the blueberries have softened (about 5 minutes). Do not boil.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Use an immersion blender or transfer the mixture to a regular blender and blend until smooth. Strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve to remove any blueberry skins or seeds (optional).
  5. Prepare your espresso or strong coffee.
  6. Pour the blueberry milk into a mug and top with the espresso.
  7. Garnish with whipped cream and fresh blueberries, if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

For a richer flavor, use blueberry syrup instead of fresh blueberries. You can also add a pinch of cinnamon or nutmeg to the milk while heating for extra warmth.
